The new firmware version 2.0 for the Fuji X-Pro1 is released. It makes the auto focus and the manual focus of the Fuji X-Pro1 faster and more reliable. In my reviews of the manual focus for the X-Pro1, I stated that the manual focus lag with the focus by wire focusing ring was unusable. June 26, 2012, Fuji Film announces 2 new lenses coming this fall of 2012. A 14mm F2.8 (21mm equivalent) and a 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 OIS (27mm-84mm equivalent) standard zoom. I’m so happy to see that Fuji Film is investing in the future of the X Pro system and expanding the lens line up to 10 lenses by the end of 2013. Apple recently release the New MacBook Pro with Retina Display! It has a resolution of 2880×1800 so this should be great for photographers because you will be able to see more pixels per square inch, making editing, color corrections and retouching, all much much easier! If the performance of this lens is good you may not need to carry around another lens at all. Good for stills and video, and made for a DX sensor. Man this seems like a dream. Fuji X-Pro-1 – Unboxing Fuji X-Pro-1 Body It’s interesting to note that the packaging for the Fuji x-pro 1 is not as nice in my opinion then the Fuji X1oo. The packaging for the x100 was something of a collector’s camera with the faux velvet where the camera sits and the box lid that is held in with ribbon that’s more a kin to a presentation box. Finally, after a long long wait I got a hold of a Sony NEX 7 kit. Here are some pictures of the unboxing. Some items of note: the packaging is very well done. You even get a micro fiber cloth that has a NEX 7 tag on it. Wow fancy. I wonder how much of this the consumer is paying for in the price of the camera?
