The new firmware version 2.0 for the Fuji X-Pro1 is released. It makes the auto focus and the manual focus of the Fuji X-Pro1 faster and more reliable. In my reviews of the manual focus for the X-Pro1, I stated that the manual focus lag with the focus by wire focusing ring was unusable. After updating the firmware I’ve got to say that is is much improved and has gone leaps and bounds toward true geared manual focus but still falls short. As a follow-up to the Zeiss 18mm F4.0 vs. Fujinon 18mm F2.0 lens review, I figured I’d do the same test for the Zeiss 35mm F2.0 vs. the Fujinon 35mm F1.4 lens. I wanted to test the Fujinon 18mm F2.0 lens and see how it would stack up to the Zeiss 18mm F4.0. The Zeiss 18mm F4.0 has a large following and is very poplar with the Rangefinder crowd. I would like to apologize to my dedicated readers, that haven’t had a new post from me in a couple of days. If you have been following the site for a while you may have read that my Grandmother had a mild stroke and was in the hospital. Unfortunately, she has passed. As she did in life, she passed the way she wanted. Long story short, she recovered 100% only to pass in her home the same day she was released from the hospital. Portraits with the Fuji X-Pro1 I’ve been shooting with the Fuji X-Pro1 now for a couple of weeks and I wanted to give my impressions on the camera, the handling, and how it performs when shooting portraits.
