They are hand-made in the USA with 550 para cord. The unique “one strand” design of the Survival Camera Strap gives you the longest possible length for flexibility in an alternative application.

These Survival Camera Straps feature a unique “single strand to four strand weave”. This gives the strap the most flexibility in a survival application, or an alternative use application. For the Neck Survival Camera Strap you get over 12 feet of 550 7 strand para cord, and for the wrist strap you get over 5 feet. The 550 para cord is made of a strong nylon shell with 7 interior nylon threads internally. This gives it a weight rating of 550 lbs. per strand. With the 4 strand weave this strap is very strong and will hold your camera, binoculars, or accessories, safely and securely.

Just received these straps yesterday and attached them both (neck+wrist) to my Sony RX10.
I’ sure they can easily hold a DSLR. They are a lot more comfortable than those wide neck-straps and look a lot better as well.
