June 26, 2012, Fuji Film announces 2 new lenses coming this fall of 2012. A 14mm F2.8 (21mm equivalent) and a 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 OIS (27mm-84mm equivalent) standard zoom. I’m so happy to see that Fuji Film is investing in the future of the X Pro system and expanding the lens line up to 10 lenses by the end of 2013. This system is an amazing performer and having options of the type of modern lenses as well as the ability to use Legacy lenses or Lenses with different mounts via adapters solidifies this systems mark on the photo industry. With the innovative sensor technology as well as amazingly sharp lenses, like the Fujinon 30mm F1.4, Fuji is showing its chops as a serious contender in the mirror less camera landscape. I’m excited to see what new tech and products are ahead for Fujifilm. I’m hoping for a full frame mirror less! Fujifilm let’s make this happen!
Since X-Pro1′s announced in January 2012, users have given many requests concerning interchangeable lenses. In order to respond to such requests, Fujifilm will introduce, in autumn this year, a bright F2.8 super wide 14mm (21mm in 35mm equivalent) single focal length lens and a bright F2.8-4 zoom lens that covers the shooting range of 18mm to 55mm (27-84mm in 35mm equivalent), in addition to the three single focal length lenses in the first series of Fujinon XF Lenses. Another unique five lenses will be added in the line-up in early 2013, making the total to 10 lenses. Fujifilm will strive for the development of lenses that cover a wide range of focal lengths and offer bright and high-resolution reproduction even at the periphery, so that users can enjoy the high-resolution feature of FUJIFILM X-Pro1.
