I just wanted to post a quick video test that I did with the Sony NEX-7 with Sony 50mm F1.8 OSS lens. I wanted to see the performance of the Optical Steady Shot on the Sony 50mm F1.8. I was at Seaworld, San Diego catching the Clyde and Seamore Show and the Intro was very entertaining so, I recorded it all hand-held and did some panning back and forth to follow the action. I was impressed by how the Optical Steady Shot worked and besides getting bumped here and there by my son, the video was pretty smooth. The video was all shot hand-held with no support meaning, I wasn’t leaning on anything. I was switching between looking through the viewfinder and the LCD and in the very beginning of the video I did adjust the aperture slightly, as to not blow out the highlights. Over all, I’m very impressed and will continue to take more videos in different situations to show the capabilities of this lens and this camera. Watch the video below and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel for all the new videos to come.
This video was meant to be entertaining as well as informative technically, so sit back and relax and have a good laugh.
