Fuji X-Pro-1 – Unboxing
Fuji X-Pro-1 Body
It’s interesting to note that the packaging for the Fuji x-pro 1 is not as nice in my opinion then the Fuji X1oo. The packaging for the x100 was something of a collector’s camera with the faux velvet where the camera sits and the box lid that is held in with ribbon that’s more a kin to a presentation box. This camera is more expensive, similar quality, and the flag ship of the fuji line yet it has a more subdued packaging then the x100. That all being said, I don’t mind it at all. The packaging to me says, “I’m an important tool, that you should go out and use, not display.” More along the lines of the high end canon’s and nikon’s not like the I’m elite Leica Packaging that’s says, “I’m a status symbol that you should display, and I cost a lot, and I want everyone to know this”
One thing that surprised me about the camera body and the lenses are how light they are. We’ll see how that translates into actual handling but it seems that you’d be able to carry and hold this system for a lot longer compared to a traditional SLR system with similar image quality. I also want to note that the camera systems doesn’t seem “cheap” either. It’s feels sturdy and it has decent weight but without being “heavy”. Great Compromise Fuji Guys!!! <golf clap>
